YOGA & SAILING 2026 – 7 Days Among the “Magical Islands” of the Sporades

We invite you to a special yoga retreat, where yoga, the sea, and freedom come together as one.

Accommodation is provided on a luxury sailing yacht with 4, 5, or 6 cabins, depending on the number of participants. The yacht has several bathrooms with hot water, unlimited Wi-Fi, a kitchen, clean bed linen and towels, a spacious lounge, and other amenities.

There is no age limit, and no previous experience in yoga or sailing is required.

The aim of this retreat is not extreme sailing, but to enjoy peaceful cruising, the beauty of nature, and the tranquillity of the Greek coastline while learning new things about yoga.

Every evening, we will anchor in one of the beautiful coastal villages.

As a yoga teacher with 20 years of experience, I will guide you through this special time together with yoga, meditation, teachings on yoga philosophy, as well as other current topics and workshops related to yoga.

We prepare Mediterranean and vegetarian meals on board.

We swim at beaches in beautiful coastal villages, hidden coves, and beside uninhabited islands.

In the evenings, there is also an opportunity to visit a local taverna and enjoy traditional Greek cuisine. We may even come across a local folk-dance evening—with dances similar to the Serbian kolo—and join in ourselves.

What Will We Visit?

We depart from the Volos area and explore Skiathos, Skopelos, and Alonissos—the jewels of the Northern Sporades.

We will visit:

  • The famous beach on Skopelos where Mamma Mia! was filmed
  • The island of Peristera, known for the ancient shipwreck located nearby
  • Hidden coves and uninhabited islands

The itinerary may change depending on weather conditions.

You may also travel to the port with participants who are driving their own vehicles and share the cost of fuel and tolls.

Sailing among the magical islands of the Sporades, where dolphins often swim alongside the boat.

Why is this yoga retreat special?

This is a unique experience because we spend an entire week living together with a yoga master with over 20 years of experience in yoga and more than 30 years of experience in handling boats. He knows the sailing area very well and will guide you to some of the most beautiful places in the Sporades. He speaks Serbian, Hungarian, English, and Greek.

In a relaxed atmosphere, participants can ask questions, receive individual guidance, and practise yoga under professional supervision. At the same time, we are not tied to one place: every day, we wake up in a new location, surrounded by the sea, nature, and tranquillity.

Everyone has their own cabin. Every evening, we anchor in a quiet harbour in one of the beautiful coastal villages or small towns, and only the next morning do we set off on a new adventure. In the morning and evening, we practise yoga on a beach or in a park for those who wish to join. While we are moored in the harbour, everyone is free to move around the yacht and to get on and off as they wish.

Yoga Center Subotica is not a travel agency and does not sell package holidays. Participation is available after becoming a member of the Yoga Center Subotica association. Membership is simple to arrange by phone and involves no additional cost.

Complete beginners are also welcome to apply.

You will return home from the yoga retreat full of energy, inner peace, and new knowledge.
